Key West Charter Fishing
We can accommodate up to 6 guests on each trip. We book as a private charter so you will only ever be with people you know.
We supply all licenses, bait, tackle, ice, cooler, and bottled water. We also have a full size fridge on board for any snacks you bring along.
You only need to bring comfortable clothes for the weather conditions, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat/visor (that fits securely). You may also bring drinks, no glass please. We have a cooler filled with ice to keep the drinks cold as well as a full size fridge if you bring any snacks that need it. We provide bottled water for our guests.
Yes, you may bring as much as you want. No glass please. It is only to be consumed by adults over 21 years of age. Please do drink responsibly as the consumption of alcohol could limit the activities we allow you to do on our charter.
Yes, of course. If it’s a legal catch then you keep it. We will prep it for you when we get back to the dock. After any photos are taken, the mate will fillet the fish and put it in ziplock bags for you. Nearly every local restaurant will “cook your catch” for a small fee.
Yes, but only if we have availability (only for 4 and 6 hour trips). Let the Captain or mate know you’d like more time. There will be an additional charge to cover the time.
Yes, but only if you had a good time. It is customary to tip around 15% – 20% of the trip fare. If you do not tip, we will assume you had a bad experience and will reach out to find out why you were unhappy and what we can do to ensure it never happens again. This is a large part of our quality control.
Yes. We do have a bathroom for your use. Bathrooms on boat a boat function different that most people are used to. The crew will explain how it functions during the short tour of the boat.
While our captain and mate are some of the best in the business, we will not guarantee a catch. We work hard to make sure you go home with fish, but the location of fish in the ocean is always changing with the currents and temperature of the water. There are no “secret spots” to catch fish.
Yes, a $250 deposit is needed to hold the date for you. We have a 72 hours cancelation policy. We will refund 100% of the deposit if you cancel the charter more than 72 hours before the trip. If you cancel within 72 hours, we will work with you to reschedule your trip. Any cancellation within 72 hours is not refundable.
If we cancel the trip for any reason (usually weather related) we will refund 100% of the deposit if another date cannot be arranged to your satisfaction.
We’d prefer if you showed up about 15 mins before the start time. This gives us time show you around the boat and get settled before we depart.
The best thing to do is prepare ahead of time so you don’t get seasick. The best advice is to take motion sickness medicine the night before your trip. This will give the medicine time to process through your system before we head out.
If you get seasick and simply can’t continue the trip then we will gladly return you to dry, stable land. Please note, you will still be charged for the full trip.
No, we do not have any hidden charges or fuel charges. The only extra expense would be any tip that you choose to leave for the hard working crew.
The rains in Key West tend to be very short lived. We watch the weather very closely and would never put any of our guests in harm’s way or show them a bad day. If the weather is going to be very bad, we will cancel the trip and offer to reschedule or refund you in full.
DO NOT wake up to rainy weather and assume the charter isn’t going out. If you don’t show up your deposit will not be refunded.
Your deposit will not be refunded nor will you have the opportunity to reschedule.
