These shorter trips are best over the winter months when the fish tend to stay closer to our shores, but we can still catch fish all year long on these trips.

These trips hit the sweet spot all year long. They are long enough to get some good fishing in, but not too long where the entire day is spent on the water.

Full Day Trips

 Verified Carbon Monoxide Boat
Old nasty boat that smokes and spits fumes. Cpt Steve drives straight out and trolls. That’s all. Ricky the mate was great. He was the only good thing about this expensive trip. They advertise 2 full bathrooms ha! Try a broken down toilet that you flush with a jug. They make a lot of claims on their website that aren’t true. No live bait at all. No different techniques. and Chuck isn’t even Cpt.  Pirate Steve has no idea where the fish are. He listens to the radio then zooms out on the old loud boat to catch leftovers. Loud old motor that scares fish away. Feels like it’s an effort to make the boat go. Junk and not worth it. Terrible waster of money and time.

 Verified Smell from hell.
Dear Lord. Stay away, Far far away from this dump of a boat. It is so far past awful. The smell is horrendous. The toilet hasn’t worked in years and the ammonia smell will damn near knock you out. Only trolls, period.  If I could give zero stars I would.

 Verified Fish on!
I had another great day out on the ocean with Captain Steve and Jeff. The bite was slow, but we were able to get our limit of mahi! When we came in to the dock, other charters commented on how great our catch looked! Many other boats that day, we’re not so lucky. I have fished with Seaclusion before.  Verified Awesome day on the water!
Had a great time with Captain Steve and Mate Buddy.  Buddy worked his tail off keeping lines in the water and helping this first timer land a couple fish.  Steve was great looking for areas with fish.  We hooked 7 (including a sail fish that got away) and landed a Mahi Mahi, Barracuda, Yellowtail Snapper, SkipJack, shark, and a mackerel.  Verified Don’t bother: Nasty boat with an unprofessional captain…oh and no fish.
I'll start by saying I fully understand a ships captain cannot control if there is a bite or not but there are many thing within their control. So that said, I'll begin. The boat showed up just in time as it needed fuel. No problem. We get on board for the "tour" to be greeted with a list of things that were wrong with the boat and how we should work around them. There were many things wrong here. The boat is disgusting. The bathroom is worse than some I've been in third world countries. I couldn't even bring myself to take a picture. Dirt and grime was everywhere. The first mate lit his first cigarette shortly after we left. I went inside until he was done then explained I can't be around smoke for health reasons. To his credit, he did respect that for the rest of the trip. Just wish he would have asked first. The captain and the first mate clearly had some conflict. The whole interaction between them is just uncomfortable to watch. We went to a couple different places...not one nibble. I know that's not their fault but definitely put the cherry on top of this unpleasant voyage. I expect more for $800 for four hours. I would never go with this charter again.  Verified Find a Different Boat
I would save your money on this one.    Everyone else I talked caught fish this day and they just had us troll for 4 hours catching very little (couple barracuda).    I asked if we could stop and drop some lines to catch some small stuff for my young kids and pretty much ignored us.     Captain chuck told us he naps sometimes while he is trolling.  It did not seem like he was trying that hard to find some fish for us.  Was very interested in collecting our money at the end though.

 Verified Awesome Italian food in Key Largo
Cafe Largo in Key Largo was an unbelievable find! I grew up in an Italian household where the women prided themselves on their recipes that were handed down from generation to generation. Cafe Largo just happened to be in the same parking lot as the one we were renting a cabana in and when the restaurant on the water ran out of fish they directed us to try the Cafe Largo saying we would not be sorry. Man was that an understatement! I had eggplant Parmesan that was the best I have ever eaten the first night there and the second night I ordered a grilled combo of Lobster, Jumbo Shrimp and giant scallops on a bed of risotto and finished with a vodka sauce that I would have slapped my wife away from (if I had one) When passing through Key Largo go out of your way to stop at the Cafe Largo, it's the restaurant that has a picture of T.V. food show celebrity Guy Fiere and the owner on top of it!  Verified Great Day on the Water
We enjoyed the entire trip.  My husband had a blast talking to our guide and captain.  It was fun to learn about the fish and their experiences.  I got sea sick, so I recommend taking advance precautions.  A good friend recommended these patches that you put behind your ears.  I will look into that for next time.  In spite of getting sick, I think fishing should be part of everyone's Key West experience.  A bucket list item for sure.

We had a great time on the Sea Clusion.  Everything went really smooth from start to finish.  Our day started off with some rain and wind, but the Captain & Mate stayed on it and we ended up catching two barracuda right at the end.  Thanks to Sean and Steve for making this a fun trip for us!  Verified What a great day for fishing. Great Crew!
We had an awesome time on the Sea Clusion.  Really easy to book and Chuck was great with confirmation and and having everything ready. Steve and Shawn are a great team to find the good places to fish.  And they were great in suggesting the Hog Fish to go and take our catch and have them cook. When in Key West, I highly recommend the Sea Clusion and next time we will be going our longer.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
